First class game switch to County Ground
24 February, 2010

Matlock 1st XI's scheduled home match against Ockbrook and Borrowash on Saturday, 11th September, 2010, has been switched from Causeway Lane and will now be played down at the County Ground in Derby.

The game has been switched as the 11th is also a scheduled FA Cup weekend and at this point of the year Matlock Town Football Club will not know whether they are home or away on that day.

So to save any issues or complications nearer the date it was decided the best thing to do was move the cricket match to an alternative venue.

Matlock are grateful to both Derbyshire County Cricket Club for the hire of their ground and also Ockbrook and Borrowash for their co-operation in this matter.

This venue switch will mean that the 1st XI have the opportunity to look forward to playing on both Derbyshire's first class grounds in Queens Park Chesterfield and now the County Ground Derbyshire.
