Floods cause havoc

Torrential rain, lasting hours on end, caused havoc at Causeway Lane in Matlock over a weekend that wrecked sport locally and spread heartache within the community. Weather forecasters are continuing to predict doom and gloom throughout September.

   Our cameraman – player and fixtures secretary Jonathan Stapleton – was on hand to capture the impact on the famous Matlock Cricket Club ground, and also how it hit our great sporting neighbours Matlock Town Football Club.
