Welcome to the on-line home of MATLOCK CRICKET CLUB (founded circa 1877).

   Affiliated to the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Derbyshire Cricket Board (DCB) and having been designated Focus Club status, MCC has three Senior Teams playing in the Derbyshire County Cricket League – currently Divisions 1; 5 North and 9 North.

   Matlock.play-cricket.com has all our latest team results and player statistics but take a look at the Senior Fixtures for 2011.

   Junior teams include Under 15, U14, U13, and U12 levels plus two Kwik Cricket teams (softball aimed at Primary School children under 9 years) all playing in the Notts & Derby Border Junior League. We supports the Talented Player Pathway to DCB and Derbyshire Dales District representative squads. Take a look at the Junior Fixtures for 2011.

Club Rejoins Longstone Midweek League
If you were not already aware the club have rejoined the Longstone league after an absence in recent years. This season's fixtures are available on this website (click this fixtures link) and the first game is on Wednesday 4th May away to Great Longstone. The league format is 15 (8 ball) overs a side, the equivalent of a 20/20 game. The side will be captained/managed by Rob and Ed Lowe so make it known to them if you are keen to play. Players from all levels of the club are likely to get an opportunity.

During the 2011 season this website will be refreshed and updated to bring the latest behind-the-scene news and provide the most valuable portal for those associated with the Club. Members and friend of Matlock are encouraged to give feedback (criticism, suggestions, ideas, amusing stories, pictures etc to the Website Manager for publication. Club's AGM 2011
This year the AGM will be held on Monday, 5th December in the Function Room of the Duke William Public House, Starkholmes, Matlock, commencing at 7pm.

Introducing Matlock's South African Overseas Player – Burton de Wett

 

Matlock CC is registered by the Inland Revenue as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and therefore has charity status which allows the club to claim tax relief on donations made to the club by tax payers, equivalent to a further 25% of the donation.

Our 1st and 2nd XIs and Junior teams play Home Games at the picturesque Grade A+ rated ground at Causeway Lane (adjacent to Matlock Town Football Club) and the 3rd XI at the over-spill ground at Stonebroom. Need directions, click for details.
